| The division of Animal Genetics belongs to the Inter-Faculty Institute for Cell Biology (IFIZ) (besides the departments of Immunology, Molecular Biology, Quantitative Proteomics and Molecular Cell Biology. Main subjects of the research are the molecular Cell Biology of development and cell migration as well as the cuticle differentiation. The division contributes to teaching of the subjects Genetics, Developmental Genetics and Cell Biology to students of Biology and Bioinformatics, and it organizes the lecture and the practical course Biology/Human Genetics for Medical Students.
